雪壁の残る乗鞍スカイラインを走りました

I ridded at the Norikura Skyline with my bike friends.
The Norikura Skyline has just been opened from the winter season.

9:00 Arrive at Hirayutoge parking lot by car.
9:10 Start from an altitude of 1684m.

The gradient of 9 to 10% continues until Meotomatsu.
Immediately after the start, my body is not yet warmed up, and this may be the hardest part.
It seems that there was a lot of snow this year, and it remained around here.

9:30 Arrive at the Meotomatsu parking lot.
The scenery opens up from here and is beautiful.

9:50 Leave the Meotomatsu parking lot.

When you start gaining altitude with a zigzag fold with an incline of around 7%, you will be able to see farther.

10:30 beautiful! I'm glad I came! !
Kasagatake (2897m) is the tallest mountain to the right of the center.

11:00 Around Neko-dake, it feels like a road leading to the sky.
The slope is around 7 to 8%, and
when it comes down, it is likely to fly into the valley.
Of course, you won't go that fast on the descent.

After winding Neko-dake, you can see the goal area.
The slope looks gentle, but it's an optical illusion.
It is around 8-9%.

11:30 When the straight section ends and we enter the gentle winding section, the remaining snow is amazing!
Even if it is estimated at a low level, it seems to be more than 5m.
It's beautiful, but it's cold when you stop!

11:55 This is the final zigzag fold.

12:00 Crossed the ridgeline.
So beautiful!

Almost no more climbing.
Phew.

12:25 After 14.7km and 3 hours and 15 minutes, we arrived at Tatamidaira with an altitude of 2702m. The air is thin here. The barometer (potato chip bag) I brought from the foot of the mountain was also swollen. The larger one swelled up too much just before this and broke. For lunch, we had a bicycle set meal at Ginreiso. Teppanyaki with diced steak (or hamburger) and vegetables seasoned with miso (maybe the miso used in Hobayaki?). A large serving of rice, soup, shredded cabbage, pickles, and bracken-starch dumplings are included for 1,100 yen! It was a conscientious price that I could not imagine on the mountain. After lunch, pass through the snow walls to the border with Nagano prefecture. The Echo Line on the Nagano Prefecture side is still closed due to snow! It seems that the Echo Line will open in July after the winter closure is lifted. And the echo line is also closed to general vehicles! This is nothing more than a bicycle paradise! I will come again. Today's data Weather: Sunny Mileage: 30km Elevation gain: 1040m Required time: 5 hours 50 minutes
